The National Sisterhood United for Journeymen Linemen (NSUJL) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit founded in 2012 to support the families of I.B.E.W. Journeyman Lineman, Apprentices, Operators, Utility Lineman, LCTT, and their families affected by workplace injuries or fatalities. NSUJL provides emergency benefits and financial assistance for up to 12 months. Additionally, we offer emotional support, home support, mental health resources, scholarships, the annual Giving Tree event, and more on a case by case basis.
For your convenience, IBEW Local 1393 has two NSUJL representatives in Indiana who assist our families during work-related accidents and fatalities.
Courtney Parrish is married to Journeyman Lineman, Tyler Parrish of IBEW Local 1393. They have two wonderful children, Knox (3) and Adeline (1). Courtney’s life has been deeply rooted in the lineman community since birth. She is passionate about supporting and advocating for linemen and their families.
Deidra Hayden is married to Journeyman Lineman, Jeremy Hayden of IBEW Local 1393. They have three amazing children: Corbin (14), Ryker (13), and Briar (10). Deidra became invested in helping bring the sisterhood to Local 1393 seven years ago. She saw a need for unity not just among the brothers, but also for the wives and children in the local. She is passionate about sharing her love and advocating for the families.
As awareness of our programs grows, so does the demand for our services. NSUJL is currently seeking volunteers to assist with the CFLL and NSUJL Rodeo in June, as well as with fundraising, graphic design, and other tasks. If you are interested in volunteering, please let one of the state representatives know, or contact NSUJL President Tammy Duncan at tammy@nsujl.org.
The success of NSUJL's mission relies on the generosity of its members, sponsors, volunteers, and public donations. We are deeply grateful for your continued support and commitment.
